What counts as a entry?
Each successful call to the API uses entries from your monthly allowance, whether it comes from an API key or the Playground. ledger.record costs 1 entry; ledger.recall costs 0 entries; ledger.brief costs 0 entries; ledger.claim costs 0 entries; ledger.retire costs 0 entries; ledger.projects costs 0 entries; ledger.update costs 0 entries; ledger.delete costs 0 entries; ledger.export costs 0 entries. Failed requests are not charged.
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
Requests return a 429 monthly_quota_exceeded error until your allowance resets. On a paid plan that happens on your billing anniversary; on Free it resets on the 1st (UTC). Upgrading takes effect immediately.
Do I need a card for Free?
No. Sign up, create a key, and you have 300 entries a month for as long as you like. Paid plans are handled by Stripe when you're ready.
Can I cancel or change plans?
Yes. Change plans on the Billing page in your dashboard, and cancel through Manage billing (the Stripe customer portal). A cancelled plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
What are the rate limits?
Free: 30/minute, 2 at a time. Pro: 120/minute, 4 at a time. Team: 600/minute, 8 at a time. Limits apply per account across all its keys. Rate-limit and monthly-quota 429 responses include a reset_at timestamp.
